Debtor

The debtor gives the mandate to the creditor to initiate collections. The debtor’s bank account is debited in accordance with the collections initiated by the creditor. By definition, the debtor is always the holder of the account to be debited.

Creditor

The creditor receives and stores the mandate from the debtor to initiate collections. On the basis of this mandate, the creditor collects the direct debits.

The creditor will use the signature module in order to delegate to SPS Signature the burden of evidence regarding the debtor’s consent but also the archiving of the electronic mandate.

The creditor chooses one or several signature or validation processes among those available on SPS Signature. To use the SPS Signature module, the creditor must be declared on the service. Information will be defined by the creditor and exchanged with the SPS Signature Module.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of log-in password(s);
  • Complying with all information security policies, procedures, standards and
    guidelines in the SPS Signature Platform.

It is possible for the creditor to implement SPS-Signature in 3 ways. Charge to the creditor to give access to the service directly to consumers (via a web client space, for example) or use the service by its agents (account manager, phone customer adviser …).

  1. : Direct implementation from the creditor portal

  2. : via SIPS (*) if it is implemented from the creditor portal

  3. : Via the GUI of SPS

(*): SIPS is the AWL solution for electronic payments including credit cards payments.

Worldline

Worldline hosts the SPS Signature service, provides the signature process, secures the data exchange, saves the mandate signed, archives the evidence and stores them in a secure storage.
